Short Overview
This tour is perfect for budget travelers who want to experience the famous Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in a short time. Starting early in the morning, you will travel from Arusha through Ngorongoro to reach Serengeti. After an exciting game drive and a picnic lunch, you will head to Ngorongoro for an overnight stay. Explore the “endless plains” of Serengeti, known for its rich wildlife, and visit Ngorongoro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Airport transfers are included in the package.
Itinerary day by day
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your driver will stop at scenic viewpoints to enjoy beautiful views of the Ngorongoro Crater. You may choose to visit Olduvai Gorge (optional), where important discoveries about early humans were made. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the way, and then continue with game viewing as you arrive at Seronera Public Campsite for dinner and
an overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, head out for another game drive in Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras, followed closely by predators. Keep an eye out for lions, and many bird species like the kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird. After lunch, you will drive towards Ngorongoro with a game drive along the way, arriving at Simba Public Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive. The crater is home to a wide variety of animals such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the designated spot, and in the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel.
